Biography[]
Born in TA 2965, Hamson Gamgee was the eldest son of Gaffer and Bell Goodchild. He was also the elder brother of Halfred, Daisy, May, Sam and Marigold Gamgee. During his life in the Shire, Hamson went on to live in Tighfield where he worked with his uncle Andy as a roper. At the age of 36, Hamson and his family attended Bilbo Baggins' 111th and Frodo Baggins' 23rd Birthday Party on 22 September, TA 3001. He was present where he and everyone waited for Bilbo to say a magnificent speech. However, the speech ended shortly when Bilbo used his magical ring that he kept for years and disappeared in front of the horrified crowd, as well as Hamson and his family.
